Job Title: SENIOR FACILITIES MANAGER - Basingstoke Level: Management Team Reporting To: Head of Property Services Department: FACILITIES Location: Basingstoke or Bristol
Purpose of Role: To manage the Facilities functions at Basingstoke site in line with Facilities strategy and corporate policies. To provide support in the development of corporate Facilities in regional sales offices in UK.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To manage 6*8 staff members. 2. To manage building maintenance; building services; security; grounds maintenance; reception duties including switchboard; goods and mail services; internal moves and churn; environmental issues, audits and initiatives; rental, pool and company cars based at Bristol*Basingstoke in liaison with the Fleet Desk Dorking; telecommunications; archiving; Health and Safety advisory; catering services; cleaning services; contractor and supplier relationships in liaison with Supplier Management team Dorking etc and other areas as appropriate. 3. Be responsible for forecasting *maintaining costs in line with Ј2.5m (2004) Facilities budgets 4. Monitor, reduce and manage Facilities related risks on Basingstoke site. 5. Improve understanding of and accessibility of Facilities function in Basingstoke 6. Identify ways to develop Facilities function to better support Business change*development in line with the Business Excellence Model. Be responsible for developing Facilities support for Regional offices and acquisition initiatives with Head of Property Services and other Facilities Managers as appropriate.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
" Proven track record and minimum 5 years experience in a similar corporate role " Strong technical background. May have a relevant technical qualification. " Be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding and practical knowledge of supplier and contract management " Be able to demonstrate experience in managing of budgets and cost saving initiatives " People management and supplier relationship development skills " Be computer literate, with ideally a working knowledge of space planning and use of Computer Aided Design " A good working knowledge of Health and safety legislation Be a member of the British Institute of Facilities Management
